Do you recommend open-source or proprietary solutions? Why?

Both. Because every case is different. Needs are as diverse as the clients and target markets that use them. At Right Turn Web, we believe that it is always best to use the best tool for the job. For those who see themselves only as a screwdriver, all jobs typically get screwed. We come to our clients with a well-stocked and open toolbox. The toolbox always remains open, however, to new additions that fit the unique needs of the job.

How do you ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable code?

All jobs are designed to be easily scalable, based on the assumption that most clients will need to expand over time. This project approach means developing with easy-to-understand, firmly established, and well-documented code.

Will I own the code and intellectual property upon completion of the project?

Absolutely. All our clients own not only the base code we develop but also all supporting assets, including any digital media. In some instances, third-party developers and additional plugins are required, which can limit ownership. While general access to such code and freedom to make changes as needed are provided, where possible, general copyright and use may be retained by those providers.

Can you integrate third-party tools (CRM, ERP, booking systems, payment gateways)?

Generally, yes. Not all systems support the integration of other systems, however. Understanding the scope of the project as a whole and the underlying requirements that may currently exist will help determine where integration is possible or alternative approaches may be deemed more suitable. Square pegs for square holes, but in many cases, pieces can be easily molded to fit. Such flexibility is discussed as part of the Ideation and Consulting process at the start of every project.
