What is your process for understanding my business goals?

All projects start with an Ideation and Consulting session. We meet the client (face-to-face when possible) and listen to their needs, thereby gaining a better understanding of their target audience. We then use that information and conduct further research to help understand the user's journey and identify potential gaps, which could reflect missed opportunities.

All work is in active partnership with our clients, and regular communication is an expected part of the development process.

How do you approach project planning and requirements gathering?

Through Ideation and Consulting, we gather the basics of both intent and target audience. We utilize this initial data and conduct further research to gain a deeper understanding of the user's journey and expectations, thereby determining the best technologies to deliver a positive user experience (UX). We then take the opportunity to identify gaps and overlooked market opportunities. We actively engage in strategy sessions with our clients to not only maximize current market reach but also to act as a catalyst for further growth and expansion, thus reaching new market potential.

Will I have a dedicated project manager or point of contact?

Yes. We take pride in working closely with our clients. We prefer face-to-face meetings and strategy sessions when possible. Where distance may be a factor, we seek live engagement through the use of peer-to-peer technologies. We understand the frustration that often accompanies poor support, the challenge of communicating with chatbots, and the barriers that arise when working with someone who is not fluent in English or has a strong accent that makes them difficult to understand. At Right Turn Web, you are not just hiring a company; you are teaming with a partner that is also highly invested in your success.

How do you handle changes to project scope or requirements?

Change is a natural part of the development process. We embrace this by actively communicating and engaging with our clients. It is essential that everyone on the team is clear about the goals and requirements to achieve them. No one knows what is on the road when they start their journey. Having a plan to address needed changes and being adaptable to change is critical to success.

How do you ensure the project stays on time?

While the timing of a project can be important, much of this centers around a client's engagement and fulfilling their designated tasks. Web development and promotion should never be perveived as a project to be completed, but rather as a process of continuous refinement. It is critical when considering a new website or a redesign that you work with an organization that is your partner along the journey.

The key to staying on time is to develop and build in a way that allows for extensibility. For example, a project may have an end goal of literally being thousands of pages of content. However, such a project can often begin as a singular page.

In most cases, when a project stalls, it is due to what is known as "paralysis by analysis." Understanding that not everything needs to be done before the project goes live is critical to avoiding this trap. Every race starts with the first step. No race has ever been finished by someone who has never started.

Can you help me define my target audience and user journey?

Absolutely. In fact, this is one of our key services. We thoroughly research our clients, their industry, and their needs, and take the opportunity to examine not only the proposed target audience but also potential gaps and overlooked market opportunities. We actively engage in strategy sessions with our clients to not only maximize their current market reach but also to explore ways for their business to grow and expand by tapping into new market potential.

Understanding the audience and how it relates to the business is crucial in understanding their journey. For most clients, the goal is to induce their potential customers/clients to take a specific action step. Understanding what this desired action is helps in guiding the user through the journey with as few blocks and detours as possible. This process is key to creating a positive User Experience (UX). The better the experience, the greater the chance they will take the intended action, and the more likely this will be to build brand loyalty and encourage customer/client return.

How do you ensure the website aligns with my brand identity?

Working with clients through Ideation, consulting, and regular strategy sessions not only helps understand a client's brand but also identifies where changes may be beneficial, prudent brand evolution, and ways the client can achieve optimal brand presence. When the brand is understood and desired changes are taken into account, this helps to develop and design value-added assets around that brand identity, ensuring all elements align. Design and assets should not only complement a brand but also seek ways to solidify further its identity in the minds of customers/clients, as well as promote ongoing easy brand recognition, recall, and loyalty.

Do you provide development and design guidance before development?

Yes, all projects start with an Ideation and Consulting session. We do not stop here, though. Because we see our clients as partners in the process, we regularly engage in strategy, promotion, and marketing sessions to help promote success not only in the original project but also growth in current and new market opportunities.

How do you handle feedback and revisions?

We make feedback and revisions simple, ensuring all our projects are fully customizable to meet our clients' needs and expectations. Some clients want DIY solutions for regular management, content addition, and changes. Others want a more hands-off approach where they merely provide guidance. We can meet the needs of both. Whenever feedback and revisions from us are needed, all the client has to do is simply reach out to us. We provide direct support. No trickle-down support, no indistinguishable phone calls with individuals who lack the knowledge or do not have the authority to make changes, and no chatbots that drive you in circles in the hope that you will leave out of frustration, rather than come to an honest solution.

Can you provide ongoing development and design assistance after the initial project is complete?

Absolutely. Unlike many in the industry who thrive and survive on a churn-and-burn business model, ours is different in that we consider ourselves partners in our clients' ongoing success. We do not look for nor do we want to develop a website for every business. We value close relationships with our clients and place a greater focus on quality over quantity. This value means we provide our clients with unparalleled ongoing support and grow with them, helping them achieve greater success. Our success is a reflection of our clients. Ongoing support helps magnify both their success and ours.
